| Message: | | I recently purchased a 2008 MINI S. I have noticed that the headlights are always on (when the vehicle is running) regardless of the position of the headlight switch. I have been told by the dealer that as this is a Canadian vehicle and that the headlights are always on. I realize that they should be on, but they should be on at a lower voltage and that the tail lights and marker lights should not be on at that time. The only time they should be on is when the actual headlights are on.
This vehicle has a Nav system (factory) and I have noticed that the manual shows how to deactivate the Daytime Running Lights, but when I go to that on the Nav screen, it does not appear.
Would resetting the On Board Computer to the factory defaults solve anything, and is that possible without going back to the dealer?
