Bought my first 928,love it, but I need help asap! (452 views) (1285 thread views) 
Message: Hi Guys,

just bought an 88 s4 with 145000 miles on the clock.Drove the car home on friday night(170 miles) and all seemed fine until it started developing a serious misfire at about 4500-5000 rpm in 3 and 4 gear.Lower gears seemed fine as it would pull cleanly to the end of the rev range.Drove the car about 50 miles tonight and the voltmeter started going haywire resulting in the lights flickering on the dash,headlamps flickering etc,in addition the oil pressure gauge is maxed at 5 bar regardless of the engine speed(rpm)Finally the misfire is accompanied by all the dash lights coming on in unison.PLEASE HELP!!!!!
