| Message: | | Chris, this may be a 'dumb' question, but can a couple of wayward bubbles really cause a cooling system to fail? My 78, even with a brand-new Behr radiator, a new thermostat, fresh Dex-cool, and a strong, working electric fan (aftermarket), always gets very close to the red zone when I'm city driving in 90+ degrees, and when it's over 100 I've got 10 minutes tops before I'm in the red. But, five minutes on the highway and I'm back to normal, so I presume the coolant is circulating. I figured it was just a bad 30 year old design, but could it be "bubbles?"
